Privacy policy
Effective October 6, 2026
PickComp is an app for resellers, made by ILDAN, LLC ("we"). This policy covers the PickComp Android app, the web app at pickcomp.web.app, and this website. Questions go to support@pickcomp.com.
The short version
- We keep what you put into PickComp so the app can work: your items, trips, sales, expenses, mileage and photos.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.
- Google runs the services PickComp is built on, and looks up your items when you ask for a lookup.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from the app at any time.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and a user ID. We use them to sign you in and keep your records separate from everyone else's.
- What you enter. Items and their names, costs, boxes, notes and listing status; buying trips and what you paid; sales with price, fees and shipping; expenses; mileage; the platforms you sell on; your app settings; and the home address you set for mileage.
- Photos you take in the app. Item photos and listing photos are stored with your account so you can see them on any device.
- Location, only when you use it. If you start a trip from your current location, the app reads your phone's location once to fill in the starting point. Trip places and driving miles are saved with the trip. PickComp does not track your location in the background.
- Lookup usage. For beta testers we count how many lookups you run each day, to apply the daily limit.
How lookups work
When you look up an item, the app sends its photos (up to three) and any barcode to our server, which asks Google Cloud Vision and Google's Gemini models on Vertex AI, with Google Search, what the item is and what similar items sell for. The answer is saved with the item. When you search for a place, what you type is sent to Google Maps Platform to suggest places and work out driving miles.
The Google Lens button hands a photo to the Google app on your phone, or opens Google Lens in your browser on a laptop. The sold-price buttons open eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop or Google in their own window. Those are Google's and those sites' services, under their own privacy policies. PickComp does not read anything back from them.
Who processes your data
PickComp runs on Google Firebase and Google Cloud (sign-in, database, photo storage, our server code, and the lookup and maps services above), in the United States. Google processes this data for us under its Firebase and Google Cloud terms. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How it is protected
Data travels encrypted. Security rules let a signed-in account reach only its own records and photos. Our server checks your sign-in before every lookup or deletion.
How long we keep it
Your records and photos stay until you delete your account. Deleting a single record in the app hides it everywhere; it is erased for good when the account is deleted. The spreadsheet you download and the listing photos you save to your phone are files on your own device, which you control.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete my account and data. This erases your items, trips, sales, expenses, mileage, settings, photos, lookup count and sign-in, right away and for good. You can also ask us to do it: see Delete your account.
Children
PickComp is for adults running a resale business. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date. If a change affects data you have already given us, we will tell you in the app first.
